How we handle your information
Open Eyes, INC. wants you to know what this site collects and why. In short: only what you choose to send us, and what we need to answer you and keep our records.
What we collect
- Forms. When you use a form, we collect what you type: your name, your reply address and your message, plus any details the form asks for. We email it to the Open Eyes team and keep a copy in the website’s database so it is not lost.
- Newsletter. If you join our newsletter, we keep your email address, your name if you give it, the date, and where you signed up. We send a message first so you can confirm it is really you, and every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe. We do not sell or rent the list.
- Gifts. If online giving is open, payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach this website. We keep your name, email address, the amount, the date and the status of your gift so we can thank you and keep records.
- Your display settings. The Display button saves your choices in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian.
Who sees it
People at Open Eyes who need it to answer you, and the companies that run our website hosting and email. Stripe sees payment details for gifts. We may share information if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting
We keep messages as long as we need them to reply and to keep records. To ask us to correct or delete what you sent, use the contact form.
